Meta recently launched a Business AI Agents for WhatsApp Business at a cost. The idea is great but there is a lot of black box like the model used and flexibility. Additionally, the pricing is significantly high. The biggest problem is that it cannot integrate with some live backend system to retrieve or update the data. So, its a good solution for a very simple ai chatbot, but its not be practical for most of the use cases.

Hence, there comes a need for a separate platform that helps you build truly integrated AI Agents. A white label WhatsApp AI agent platform helps WhatsApp API providers, automation consultants and agencies offer branded conversational services alongside messaging infrastructure.

The opportunity begins with an ordinary customer question. Your client's WhatsApp number receives message, “Do you deliver to my area?” The messaging system delivers that enquiry to your application. Something still needs to understand it, find the business's delivery information and prepare a useful reply.

SendZen provides WhatsApp API and messaging capabilities. Robofy can supply the AI conversation layer. Combining those roles requires a supported connection and a tested workflow.

WhatsApp Business API and AI chatbots handle different jobs

The WhatsApp Business API allows software to send and receive business messages. An AI chatbot interprets customer enquiries and generates answers using its configured knowledge and instructions.

A messaging integration can support a simple automated reply without AI. For example, your application might respond to “hours” with the business's opening times. AI becomes useful when customers express the same need in different ways or ask follow-up questions.

Part of the service	Responsibility
WhatsApp messaging infrastructure	Receive messages, send replies and expose delivery events
Conversational AI	Interpret questions and generate responses from configured knowledge
Integration logic	Select the client agent, preserve context and route responses
Agency and client team	Maintain information, resolve exceptions and review results

Messaging access alone does not mean an application knows the client's policies. Likewise, generating a good answer does not mean that answer has reached the customer's phone.

What you can add to an existing WhatsApp service

Start with enquiries that have reliable answers: service coverage, opening times, delivery policies and product instructions.

Lead qualification is another option. For a furniture retailer, the conversation might establish the product category, delivery postcode and whether the customer wants a showroom appointment. Agree on the necessary details with the sales team before collecting them.

Connected agents can also retrieve live business information where an appropriate integration exists. An answer about stock availability requires current inventory data. An order-specific answer requires access controls that prevent someone from viewing another customer's information.

Describe these as separate service capabilities. A knowledge-based assistant can be useful without an order system or booking integration.

A proposed SendZen–Robofy integration architecture

SendZen documents incoming-message webhooks and an API for sending messages. Robofy documents a non-streaming conversation endpoint.

Customer's WhatsApp message → SendZen inbound webhook → your connector → Robofy conversation API → your connector → SendZen messaging API → customer.

The connector is software your team builds or configures to pass information between the services. It must also handle errors, client separation and human escalation.

1. Receive the incoming enquiry

Configure an HTTPS webhook for the client's connected number. SendZen's incoming-message guide describes forwarding incoming notifications to the registered endpoint.

Your connector should distinguish a customer message from a delivery-status event. A notification that yesterday's reply was delivered must not start a new AI conversation.

2. Select the correct client and conversation

Map the receiving business number to the correct client account and Robofy agent. Keep a conversation reference for that business and customer so follow-up messages retain the right context.

This mapping belongs in the connector. Do not assume two platforms will automatically share customer identities or session histories.

3. Request an AI response

Robofy's non-streaming message API documents /v1/ai-agent/chat, with a query, project identifier, chatbot identifier and user context. Its response includes an answer and session identifier.

Validate authentication, accepted channel values and session behavior for the intended deployment. Keep credentials on the server and test the request with the client's actual agent configuration before routing customer traffic.

4. Send the answer through WhatsApp

Return the generated answer to the customer through SendZen's text-message endpoint, POST https://api.sendzen.io/v1/messages.

An accepted send request is not proof of delivery. Use message-status information to distinguish acceptance, delivery and failure. Record enough information to investigate a failed reply without retaining unnecessary customer data.

5. Handle human support explicitly

Decide how the connector reacts when a person needs help. A workable design might create a support request, notify the team and pause automated replies for that conversation.

That pause and the return to automation need implementation and testing. Do not promise that an AI handoff event automatically transfers an active WhatsApp chat into a particular team's inbox.

A worked example for an agency pilot

Imagine a fictional office-furniture supplier receiving this message:

“Do you deliver standing desks to Vadodara, and can someone quote for twelve?”

In this illustrative workflow, the agent checks the approved delivery policy, answers the location question and asks for the desk model and a business contact. The sales team then prepares the quote.

The agent should avoid inventing a volume discount or promising stock availability from an old brochure. If live inventory is needed, scope a separate connection to the client's stock system.

Before launching, record the expected result for each test:

Test	Acceptance criterion
Known delivery question	Answer matches the approved policy
Follow-up about twelve desks	The conversation retains the quantity
Duplicate webhook notification	Only one customer reply is sent
Request for an unpublished discount	The agent escalates or explains the limit
AI service timeout	A controlled fallback or support route is used
Human takes responsibility	Automation follows the agreed pause rule

These are proposed checks, not reported results. Run them on a test account and retain dated evidence before describing the service as production-ready.

WhatsApp rules still apply to AI replies

AI-generated text follows the same messaging rules as other business messages. WhatsApp's Business Messaging Policy permits replies without a template within the 24-hour customer service window. Outside that window, approved templates are required. The policy also addresses opt-in, opt-out requests and clear escalation paths for automated conversations.

Build the messaging-window check into your workflow. An AI model's suggestion to send a follow-up does not determine whether that message is permitted.

Resell the service under your agency's brand

Robofy's white label AI chatbot platform provides agency branding and client-management options. Review how those options fit the messaging service you already operate, including whether customers need one portal or separate interfaces.

Offer a setup package covering knowledge preparation, number configuration, connector work, testing and staff training. Follow it with a recurring service for usage, monitoring and agreed improvements.

Account for four cost categories: messaging infrastructure, applicable WhatsApp charges, AI usage and your own operations. Document conversation allowances, additional integration work and the process for approving overages. “White label” describes branding; it does not make every underlying cost unlimited.

Start with one repeatable use case

Choose a client with clear policies and a team ready to respond to escalations. Establish how ordinary enquiries are handled today, then compare response time, useful completed enquiries and unresolved requests during the pilot.

Explore Robofy's white label AI agent platform for the conversational capabilities, and review its current reseller pricing before quoting. Validate the combined workflow in a test environment, then expand the package once you can support it reliably.
