All plans require a Meta Business Account. Conversation fees charged by Meta are billed directly by Meta and are separate from your SendZen subscription. Our platform fee covers the developer experience, infrastructure, SDKs, and support to make the Meta Cloud API simple and reliable.
Effective July 1, 2025, Meta transitioned from a conversation-based pricing model to a per-template message pricing model for the WhatsApp Business Platform.
What's a credit?
Currently, 1 credit = 1 outbound WhatsApp message. Credits will also be used for future features like Voice APIs.

Your total cost is a combination of our simple platform fee and Meta's conversation-based charges. Here's a breakdown of the key concepts from Meta.
The 24-Hour Window
A "conversation" is a 24-hour messaging window. This window starts when you send the first message to a user or reply to their message. All messages exchanged within this 24-hour period are covered by a single conversation charge from Meta.
Service Conversations
When a user messages your business first, it opens a "Service Conversation." These are typically for customer support and are priced by Meta at their lowest conversation rate for that country.
Marketing Conversations
These are business-initiated conversations for promotional offers, announcements, or cart abandonment reminders. These conversations have a distinct rate set by Meta, which is generally the highest.
Utility & Authentication
Utility: Business-initiated conversations for transactional updates (e.g., order confirmations, shipping alerts).
Authentication: For sending one-time passcodes (OTPs). Both have similar, lower rates set by Meta.
